Heart and Love Tattoos
Heart tattoos for lower back are incredibly popular.

Chinese symbol for heart

Chinese symbol for love |
Tattoo designs featuring the chinese symbol for the heart
can look very attractive.
As you may already know, in Chinese there are often many ways
to write the same word. Maybe because the heart is such an important
organ, there are at least 4 different Chinese symbols in use.
Broken heart design tattoos are sometimes used as a mark love
when people are forced to separate for long periods.

I think this is one of the
best heart tattoo designs as it is very simple.
You have probably seen this one before as it often features
in free heart tattoo designs which you can find on the
internet. |

Some people prefer this slightly stretched
version of the heart tattoo above.
I once saw this version in purple in a display called
"purple heart tatoos". To be honest I didn't
think it was a very good use of the design as in the USA
purple hearts are given for brave acts. I guess not many
people would have made that connection and just assumed
it was some sort of tribal design.

This one is hardly recognizable as a heart
tattoo but it works well in combinations of other kanji
such as the one for love shown above.
In my opinion tatoos of hearts are best for small areas
of skin such as the upper arm or even inner thigh.
