Making a non newtonian fluid is a great experiment, though not a particularly useful substance when made with just corn starch and water. You could use it as a thickener in gravies and sauces, I suppose, but not applicable to cookies!

When you don't have the cutter, you can always make a template out of paper! Just find your shape, print it out at the size you want, and cut it out!
