This wonderful song, written by Shane MacGowan and sung by the amazing Christy Moore is played here over a slide show of some of my own images & some powerful images from WW1 & WW2 archives, as an interpretation of MacGowan's lyric. The image of the 'old man in the corner' is traditional Irish singer Séan de hOra. The brown eyes I met on the Dublin ferry last year. She was very beautiful.
My interpretation in images of a great song about Irish emigration to the USA in the mid 1800s, after the famine. The song is based on letters between the ancestors of the writer Peter Jones. I sang this song regularly in sessions in the 90s.
My own tribute to this amazing Irish singer. Songs are Many Young Men of Twenty, Auld Orange Flute, I'll Tell Me Ma, Merry Ploughboy and Rare Auld Times.
An animated slide show of some of my images of water; sea waves, rivers, lakes. ponds, waterfalls & waterlillies over Mozart's Serenade Number 10 for 13 wind instruments 'Gran Partita'.
Relaxing meditation on colour & nature with background Irish music using some of my flower photographs with black & white to colour transitions colour transitions
